Microinjection Service price increases from February 2024
The prices for our microinjection service have remained unchanged for more than 12 years, despite the increasing costs of providing the service. However, we have now arrived at a point where significant price increases are required for our service to remain viable. From February 2024, we will be increasing all our microinjection charges by 20-25%.
Microinjection requests received on or after February 1st 2024 will be charged at the following rates. Please note: all microinjection charges for UK research groups (outside of the University of Cambridge) are subject to VAT at the standard rate (20%).
- Plan 1: P-element – Injection only - £160 +VAT
- Plan 2: P-element – Unbalanced transformants - £225 +VAT
- Plan 3: P-element – Balanced lines - £310 +VAT
- Plan 4: PhiC31 - Injection only - £160 +VAT
- Plan 5: PhiC31 – Balanced lines - £260 +VAT
- Plan 6: RMCE - Injection only - £160 +VAT
- Plan 7: RMCE - Balanced lines - £260 +VAT
- Plan 8: CRISPR - Injection only - £160 +VAT
- Plan 9: CRISPR – with additional work - £ variable
Clients with negotiated rates for services should expect those rates to also increase by 20-25% from February 2024.
